Only in London ~ Uniquement a Londres

Don't they say the best things in life are for free? I could not agree more after attending the Hackney Weekend sponsored by BBC and Radio 1 yesterday. The event is an open air festival taking place right on my door steps featuring the best and brightest artists in the music industry. I remember seeing the advert in the metro paper on one of my daily commute into work 2 months ago and i couldn't believe my eyes when i saw that they were organising the festival and gave away free tickets for entertainment like no other. All you needed to do was register your interest online and make time on another day to apply for the tickets it took me 4 hours to finally get mine and Mr B's but it was well worth all the wait the traffic on the website was sick... I chose to attend on saturday, as the line up appealed to me more indeed the lead act being Jay-Z the decision was hardly a difficult one Other artists included Sean Paul, Flo Rida, Threyz Song, Nicki Minaj, D'banj, Tinchy Stryder, Chip, Leona Lewis...So here is what i wore; you know rain is never away here in London so wellies are defo the festival shoes of choice to keep all nice and dry!

 Ne dit-on pas que les meilleures choses dans la vie sont gratuites? C'est franchement le cas de le dire apres avoir assiste hier au Hackney Weekend sponsorise par la BBC et Radio 1 . L'evenement est un festival en plein air et se passe a deux pas de chez moi figurant les meilleurs artistes du monde de la musique. Je me souviens encore que j'ai appercu la pub du festival dans le journal metro il y a 2 mois lors de mon trajet quotidien pour le boulot. Tout ce qu'il fallait faire c'est remplir une forme pour signifier son interet puis allouer du temps un autre jour pour acquerrir les tickets; ca m'a pris 4 heures pour finalement obtenir les notres mais ca en vallait la peine il faut dire que le site web etait evidemment surembouteille...J'ai choisi le Samedi parceque les actes etaient plus interessants Jay-Z etant la star de la journee la question de choix ne s'est donc pas posee entre autre il y avait aussi Sean Paul, Flo Rida, Threyz Song, Nicki Minaj, D'banj, Tinchy Stryder, Chip, Leona Lewis......Voici donc ce que je portais; vous savez que la pluie n'est jamais bien loin ici a Londres alors les bottes en plastique sont les chaussures par excellence d'un festival pour rester nickel.

Lazy Fashion Day ~ Mode Flemmarde

Another outfit i wore while i was in Arras the heat was such i did not want anything that would be in the slightest way cumbersome. I thus naturally went for a beige outfit with a pop of color from my bra peering through my top...It's a shame the pictures don't do this top justice because in person it is shimmering gold very pretty! On to a little trick of mine remember i told you i normally travel light this also allows me to have room for new finds on my travels indeed i bought this top in Arras! You don't want the nasty surprise of extra weight charges on your way back...
Also i notice something maybe you have too i cant get enough of my Prada bag it seems to be my default bag these days and I'm sure my other arm candies are not impressed with me neglecting them that way. Do you also find yourself wearing the same new article over and over? let me know which one has taken center piece in your dressing!

Un autre ensemble que j'ai porte durant mon sejour a Arras, la chaaleur etait telle que je ne voulais vraiment pas m'encombrer. J'ai donc tout naturellement opte pour le beige avec une touche de couleur a l'aide de mon soutien sous la transparence de mon haut...C'est dommage que les photos ne refletent pas bien la beaute de ce haut, en personne c'est d'un or scintillant tres joli! Une petite astuce en passant souvenez vous que je voyage generalement legere ca permet comme ca d'avoir de l'espace pour les achats fait pendant le voyage et ce haut je l'ai d'ailleurs achete a Arras! Vous ne voulez pas la surprise desagreagble des kilos supplementaires a payer sur le chemin du retour...
Autre chose que je constate et peut etre vous aussi l'avez constate je ne peux pas me passer de mon sac Prada ces derniers jours il semble etre partout et je suis sure que mes autres sacs n'en sont guerre impressiones vu l abandon auquel ils font face. Portez-vous egalement un nouvel article a repetition? Dites moi lequel a pris le throne dans votre boudoir!

Furniture Shopping

I am fresh off my exam hall and decided to unwind with a blogging post! What better other way to wash off the remaining thoughts on taxation! I still have another exam to go but for now it's relaxation time - well deserved those 3 hours were intense...But before i go off on that lets get back to the post shall we?
Just to show you what i wore when i went shopping for a desk for my new desktop...I went to Ikea and it's just amazeball in there you just feel like redesigning the whole appart...but hey for me space and money restrictions quickly got me on my feet and i actually ended up buying more of a laptop table?!? it's a sleek and simple white table that just blend in well with the original decor and that takes next to no space at all! So after looking around for just 30 minutes i was done...A pic of the table is below they also have it in black and red for any of you interested in getting one...

Je sors tout juste du  centre d' exam et ai decide de relaxer en ecrivant ce blog poste! Quel autre meilleur moyen de se debarrasser des dernieres pensees sur la taxe? J'ai encore une autre preuve a passer mais pour l'instant je me relaxe un peu - c'est bien merite apres ces 3 heures intenses...mais avant que je ne m'emballe a ca revenons a ce poste!
Juste pour vous monter ce que j'ai porte recemment quand j'etais faire les courses a la recherche d'une table pour mon nouvel ordi. C'etait a Ikea et c'est genial a l'interieur ca donne envie de refaire tout l'appart..mais pour moi le manque d'espace et d'argent m'a vite ramene a la raison et j'ai achete une espece de table pour PC?!? C'est une table fine et blanche qui se prete bien au decor qui existait deja et ne bouffe pratiquement aucun espace!! Donc apres avoir tourne environ 30 minutes j'avais fini...Je vous met egalement une photo de la table ils l'ont aussi en noire et rouge si ca vous interesse...

Si vous avez lu mes postes precedents vous savez certainement que le voyage sur Arras etait pour assister a un mariage familial! J'aime beaucoup l'ambiance magique qui emane de la ceremonie de mariage ca me transporte dans un monde parfait d'amour et de convivialite. Les maries ont fait un tres bel effort et nous ont offert de tres bons moments et le detail y etait franchement chapeau!
Alors comment porter du blanc a un mariage quand on est pas la mariee? reponse en image j'espere! Dites pour vous le blanc est reserve uniquement au maries ou les invites peuvent se le permettre?

If you have read my previous posts you probably know that the trip to Arras was to attend a family wedding! I really like the magical feel that comes out of a wedding ceremony it takes me to a perfect world of love and happiness. The couple did well and gave us a magnificent experience paying attention to every little details really congrats!
Well how to wear white when you are not the one saying i do? check out the pictures for an answer hopefully! Oh and let me know if for you white is a no go area and only reserved for the married couple or whether invites can join in?
